Until September 30th, la dolce vita of the mythic Hotel Splendido, a Belmond hotel, meets the renowned Dior art of beauty and well-being in a pop-up spa overlooking the Italian Riviera. To mark the occasion, Dior has created a limited edition of its iconic perfume Escale à Portofino.
A former 16th century monastery, the Splendido overlooks Portofino Bay, offering a stunning panoramic view of the Mediterranean and the Ligurian Coast. Dior selected this earthly paradise – legendary for hosting celebrated guests from Winston Churchill and Ava Gardner to Madonna – as the ideal location for its Jardin des Rêves pop-up spa. Nestled in the Splendido gardens, two large gazebos sheltered from outside views by net curtains in Toile de Jouy, the iconic Dior pattern reinterpreted by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Artistic Director for Dior Women’s collections, welcome guests for a customized pre-treatment assessment. The leaf-green patterns blend into the luxuriant surrounding vegetation of the bay.

For an experience even closer to nature, Dior has set up a second space on the Bagni Fiore beach in Paraggi. With net curtains, beach mattresses and sun loungers, the Langosteria terrace has been made over in nature green Dior Toile de Jouy and welcomes a treatment cabin. Dior is also debuting a brand new creation at both pop-up spaces, the Dior Bronze Signature Massage to perfectly prepare the skin for tanning. Face and body treatments are proposed as well. Dior invites guests to extend the experience with its Escale à Portofino perfume, an olfactory illustration of la dolce vita. The eau de toilette is infused with the most exquisite Mediterranean essences, including Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian petit-grain, Italian citron, bitter almond and orange blossom from Cyprus. The limited edition bottle reprises the green Toile de Jouy pattern of the Dior pop-up spa. This exclusive Splendido Edition will be available only in select Dior boutiques in France and Italy, and at dior.com.
