Adorable Moment A Young Swiftie Has The ‘Absolute Time Of His Life’ As He Is Given Taylor Swift’s Fedora While She Sings To Him

A lucky Swiftie has shared an adorable moment with his idol on the second night of Taylor Swift’s Sydney shows.

Taylor, 33, has established a tradition where she gives a signed hat to one lucky fan in the crowd while singing her song, 22.

And on Saturday night, a young boy was singing along and vigorously dancing as he was invited up on stage to receive the special gift from the pop megastar.

Swifties on social media quickly commented positively on the young boy’s enthusiasm.

‘Awwww, the kid receiving the 22 hat tonight was having the absolute time of his life,’ wrote one user of X (formerly Twitter).

‘The 22 hat tonight!! How adorable!!’ wrote another.

‘He’s an icon,’ wrote one, while another noticed that ‘He’s feeling it,’ and a third pronounced ‘he is everything!’

‘I know adult fans want the 22 hat but there’s something about kids getting it and watching core memories happen in real time that’s so healing,’ mused one more X user.

Meanwhile another commenter on X had a suggestion: ‘I say they let the kid that got the 22 hat just stand at the end of the stage all night, dancing, with a separate camera on them, for us all to enjoy.’

At the first of her Sydney shows on her Eras tour on Friday, Swift chose young Scarlett, who is fighting an aggressive form of brain cancer, to be the recipient of her signed ’22’ fedora.

Earlier, Scarlett’s step-mother Natalie had posted to social media that her step-daughter’s wish had been to meet Taylor.

‘Scarlett was granted a “Wish” from the Make A Wish Foundation and her wish was to meet Taylor Swift,’ Natalie wrote in the post.

‘Unfortunately, they told us this wasn’t possible so through the power of social media and some generous people we made attending the concert happen and got tickets.’

She then shared a picture of Scarlett, who has been given just 12-18 months to live, holding a poster that read ‘Taylor can I have the 22 hat please?’

Later at the concert, the young girl’s wish was Taylor’s command.

The singer invited Scarlett up to the stage, embraced her while she handed over the fedora, then tenderly kissed her hands.

Swift is set to perform four shows in Sydney through to Monday, February 26.
