Matthew Perry’s Last SEVEN Instagram Posts Were About Batman… Before His Passing At Age 54

Matthew Perry’s final seven Instagram posts were all Batman-related.

The 54-year-old Friends actor died at his Los Angeles home on Saturday afternoon after an apparent drowning.

Now, fans have noticed the strangely themed social media posts in the wake of his untimely death.

Over the last week of his life, Perry alluded to the famous superhero character in a series of photos and videos.

Some of the uploads saw the star refer to himself as ‘Mattman’ and his last picture, shared five days before he passed away, showed him in the outdoor jacuzzi where his life tragically ended.

A source has since told People that the late television sensation was simply ‘having fun’ with the posts, and that he was ‘incredibly happy’ in his life.

His ultimate post, which was snapped at nighttime and had a midnight blue tint, was captioned: ‘Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.’

The photo showed him sitting comfortably in a corner of the tub while large headphones were propped on his head.

Waves of water pooled around him while the moon beamed over him in the sky.

On Sunday afternoon actress Selma Blair left a note that read: ‘I’ve got the city tonight, Batman. I’m so sad. I’m so sad Matty. Come find me.’

The post currently has more than 1.5 million likes from his 8.8 million followers, and since his death his account has filled with speculative comments.

Another recent post was simply a short snippet of the shining moon and a caption that said, ‘Do you understand what I’m trying to tell you? – I’m Mattman.’

Before that, there was a snapshot of a lantern pumpkin with the Batman logo carved into it.

Perry added the phrase, ‘Do you know what I mean?’ in the caption.

On October 18, Matthew shared another nighttime shot taken outside with the Batman emblem lit up in red lights.

The caption noted, ‘Sleep well everybody, I’ve got the city tonight,’ with the actor once again signing off ‘Mattman.’

In a post less than one week ago, Matthew simply shared a video clip of him placing red beans on a table as he wrote, ‘This is what I’ve had to eat today. I’m Mattman.’

A photo posted one week ago showed a black and white board that read, ‘Batman Plays Pickleball’ and the longtime entertainer captioned: ‘WTF?’

He added another message in the comments that said: ‘Rest easy. I’m on a tall building.’

Perry had previously discussed his love of the superhero, and he even named the final chapter of his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing after the protagonist.

In his book he remembered imagining himself as Batman and his father as Superman.

He also joked about referring to an assistant as ‘Alfred’ and the person addressing him as ‘Mr Wayne.’

In a 2022 GQ interview, the performer said he was Batman, according to Unilad.

Perry had reportedly played a two-hour game of Pickleball on Saturday, before sending his assistant out on an errand. When the person returned, Perry was said to have been found unresponsive in his hot tub.

Perry garnered an international fanbase for his role as Chandler on Friends, which also earned him an Emmy nomination in 2002.

Behind the scenes, he secretly battled substance abuse for decades, which he detailed in his book.

There was no indication of foul play and no drugs were found at the scene of his death, sources said.
