Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, And John Oliver Launch Limited Spotify Podcast Series Strike Force Five

As audiences do without late-night talk shows amid the ongoing WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes – Spotify have decided to unite hosts Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, and John Oliver for a brand new limited podcast series launching this Wednesday.

The five talk-show titans promise to ‘bring their unique insights, opinions, and humor to the show as they navigate the Hollywood strikes and beyond’ on the 12-episode Strike Force Five sponsored by Mint Mobile and Diageo.

In the Instagram teaser, Stephen Colbert introduced his fellow colleagues with a bit of light banter.

‘The five of us together for maybe an hour a day,’ Jimmy Fallon explained.

Thunder roared as Jimmy Kimmel added: ‘Strike Force Five is the name of our podcast! Subscribe to it now!’

Egos are sure to hilariously clash as each host attempts to outdo each other serving as rotating moderators for the industry discussions.

All proceeds received by the hosts from Strike Force Five will go to out-of-work staff from the hosts’ respective shows – CBS’ The Late Show, NBC’s The Tonight Show, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, NBC’s Late Night, and HBO’s Last Week Tonight.

The last time Colbert, Fallon, Kimmel, and Meyers joined forces was to bid rival James Corden farewell on the April 27th finale of CBS’ The Late Late Show.

Meanwhile, Real Time host Bill Maher hasn’t missed a beat hosting his own podcast Club Random from the basement of his $20M seven-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion every Sunday.

The Writers Guild of America have been striking since May 2 and the Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists have been striking since July 14.

For the first time in four decades, the unions are both on strike demanding contracts that includes updated streaming residuals and AI regulations.
