Hublot is marking its association with the UEFA Euro 2020TM tournament with the release of the Big Bang e UEFA EURO 2020TM, the official timepiece of the European Championship. The limited edition watch embodies the watchmaker’s deep attachment to the values of sports. Hublot is also introducing a new podcast series featuring interviews with some of the greatest sporting icons. And to top off this tribute to sports and creativity, there is a special surprise for the first 200 customers to purchase the new Big Bang e connected watch.

The UEFA Euro 2020TM tournament is finally set to go from June 11 to July 11, 2021. Hublot is absolutely thrilled alongside the players and fans who have had to wait a year after the competition was postponed due to the pandemic. To celebrate the event Hublot has unveiled its new Big Bang e UEFA Euro 2020TM connected watch, a virtual stadium on the wrist available in a limited edition of just 1,000 pieces. The aesthetics feature the attributes of Hublot’s iconic Big Bang model, enhanced with special variations for the competition. The bezel sports the colors of the flags of the 12 nations initially slated to take part in the tournament. The 42 mm case is in Black Magic, the polished black ceramic developed by Hublot technicians, while the sapphire crystal makes the AMODLED high-definition touchscreen easy to use. Water-resistant to a depth of 30 meters, the Big Bang e UEFA Euro 2020TM has a rubber strap that can be personalized with the colors of fans’ favorite teams.
The Big Bang e takes the connected watch to a new level of perfection thanks to a complex electronic module developed in partnership with other LVMH watch brands. The watch runs Google’s WearOS software, which has been adapted and enhanced to meet Hublot’s requirements, notably a special football app. In addition to following the timing of the matches, the Big Bang e UEFA Euro 2020TM notifies wearers of team line-ups, cards given, player substitutions, penalties, and goals. Watch owners can also take advantage of free downloads of dials in the color of their country via the Google Play Store. As technology partner of the UEFA Euro 2020TM tournament, Hublot will equip referees with the special Big Bang e Referee watches to help them manage timekeeping. This special version will also be connected to Goal-Line technology and the VAR video control system. The board used by the fourth official to show player substitutions will sport Hublot colors as well.
To connect with the excitement of sports, Hublot is launching the Hublot Fusion Podcast series. Hosted by French sports broadcast journalist Anne-Laure Bonnet, the 12 episodes will feature interviews with football legends, as well as Hublot ambassadors and friends such as Kylian Mbappé and Pelé. Each episode will focus on a universal value of victory: solidarity, union, passion, commitment, inclusion, equality, friendship, justice, respect, fair play, tolerance and sharing. Last but not least, the first 200 customers of the Big Bang e will join the “Hublotista” community and be given a non-fungible token (NFT) containing an excerpt from one of the podcast episodes. The tokens comply with the ERC 1155 standard and owners can exchange them on dedicated platforms.
