Meghan, The Duchess Of Sussex, Accused Of Bullying By Royal Aides At Kensington Palace

Meghan Markle is the subject a new controversy saying that she bullied members of her staff during her time at the Kensington Palace. The allegations come three days before the airing of her interview with Oprah.

A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan says:

“The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.”

It also added that Meghan “is determined to continue her work building compassion around the world and will keep striving to set an example for doing what is right and doing what is good.”

The Times reported that the bullying complaint was made back in October 2018. The Buckingham Palace did not provide any comment.

Some critics question the timing of the allegations. A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan stated:

“Let’s just call this what it is: a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation. We are disappointed to see this defamatory portrayal of the Duchess of Sussex given credibility by a media outlet.

“It’s no coincidence that distorted several-year-old accusations aimed at undermining the duchess are being briefed to the British media shortly before she and the duke are due to speak openly and honestly about their experience of recent years.”

The much-awaited interview with Oprah will be screened this coming Sunday. The two-hour special “Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special” will air at 8 EST/PST in America and on March 08 on ITV at 9PM in the UK.
