If you haven’t watched One Tree Hill in a while, James Lafferty is here to remind you about your crush on Nathan Scott with some steamy shirtless pics.
OK, technically Lafferty is just doing a basketball-themed photo shoot for an American Eagle and letting fans know they can shop AE’s 24/7 Activewear Collection, but these pics are seriously giving Us flashbacks to his days on the CW drama. He played basketball star Nathan Scott on OTH from 2003 to 2012.
“It’s the oldest story in the world … Returning to the court in AE 24/7. @americaneagle #AEPartner,” the 38-year-old captioned a post via Instagram on Saturday, May 18.
His abs quickly caught the attention of his former costars. “Bro you gotta warn the internet when you drop something like this!?” Sophia Bush (who played Brooke Davis) commented.
Hilarie Burton Morgan (who portrayed Peyton Sawyer) added, “What in the thirst trap is this?!?!?! James!!!!!!! Good Lord. Put a warning on stuff like this.”
Bryan Greenberg (known to OTH fans as Jake Jagielski) initially commented “Damn kid! .” When Greenberg’s wife, Jamie Chung, commented, “ Buying all this for @bryangreenberg,” Greenberg jokingly replied, “@jamiejchung unfollow him immediately.”
His buddy Stephen Colletti (who played Chase Adams) chimed in “Beast! ” while Robert Buckley (who appeared as Clay Evans) added, “Get it, stud .”

Patricia Heaton Defends Harrison Butker: ‘Everybody Just Calm Down’

Patricia Heaton came to the defense of Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker following his controversial graduation speech at Benedictine College earlier this month.
Posted with the caption, “Everybody just calm down,” Heaton shared a video via Instagram on Saturday, May 18, wherein she defends comments Butker, 28, made in his speech about the role of women in society as “homemakers,” encouraging female graduates to give up their careers to become stay-at-home mothers.
“I don’t understand why everyone’s knickers are in a twist,” Heaton said in her video. “[Butker] gave a commencement speech, the audience applauded twice during the speech and gave him a standing ovation at the end. So, clearly, they enjoyed what he was saying. The guy is espousing his own opinions and Catholic doctrine. So what? It’s his opinion. He can have one. He’s allowed. He’s not a monster for stating what he believes. He went after bishops much more than he went after women or what women’s choices are or what he thinks they should be. So, I don’t understand.”
Butker delivered the commencement speech for Kansas’ Benedictine College on May 11. In his speech, he not only railed against women in the workforce but also against LGBTQIA+ pride, abortion access, and even against IVF and surrogacy as family planning methods.
“I am a Catholic woman, who worked through my kids’ childhood and I believe God opened those doors for me,” Heaton continued. “Thankfully, it was a schedule that allowed me to also be a full-time mom, basically. I find nothing offensive about what he said even though my life is very different. He might even look at my life and say that’s not the way it should be. That’s OK. That’s his opinion.”

She concluded, “I’m just curious as to why people get ‘offended.’ If you have made choices in your life and you feel those are the right choices and you’re comfortable and they’re working out for you and your family, great. And if they’re different from his, that’s great. You do you. He’ll do him. Relax, everybody.”
In his speech, Butker addressed “the ladies present” at the Benedictine graduation ceremony, saying that they have had “the most diabolical lies told to [them].”
“Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world,” he said. Butker went on to bring up his wife, Isabelle, who he said would be “the first to say that her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.” He also credited her as the reason he is “the man I am because I have a wife who leans into her vocation.”

While Heaton came to Butker’s defense as a Catholic woman, the nuns of Benedictine College couldn’t say the same and have since condemned the Super Bowl champion’s commencement address.
“The sisters of Mount St. Scholastica do not believe that Harrison Butker’s comments in his 2024 Benedictine College commencement address represent the Catholic, Benedictine, liberal arts college that our founders envisioned and in which we have been so invested,” the sisters wrote in a statement released via Facebook on Thursday, May 16.
“We want to be known as an inclusive, welcoming community, embracing Benedictine values that have endured for more than 1500 years and have spread through every continent and nation,” the statement continued. “We believe those values are the core of Benedictine College.”

Ben Affleck Ditches Wedding Ring After Moving Out of His and J. Lo’s House
Amid his marital issues with Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck stepped out without his wedding ring on Friday, May 17.
Affleck, 51, was seen in Los Angeles on Friday, May 17, without the wedding band on his left hand. The actor was photographed by TMZ with his bare hand clearly adjusting the sun visor in his car.
The photos hit the internet shortly after Us Weekly confirmed that he and Lopez, 54, are not living under the same roof. Affleck moved out of the California mansion he shares with his wife “several weeks ago,” a source exclusively told Us.
Neither Affleck nor Lopez have publicly addressed the move. Us reached out to reps of both for comment.

Lopez and Affleck sparked split speculation earlier this month when fans noticed that the pair hadn’t been publicly photographed together in 47 days. However, they were spotted side-by-side on Friday, May 17, in photos obtained by In Touch. The duo wore their wedding rings as they attended a school function for one of their kids.
“Jen and Ben are having issues in their marriage. They started having issues a few months ago as Jen had started ramping up work commitments and prepping for her tour,” a source told Us exclusively on Thursday, May 16, noting that Lopez is “is very focused on work” as she gears up for her summer This Is Me … Live tour, which kicks off next month.
The insider added: “They are on two completely different pages most of the time.”
However, the two aren’t rushing to split and have no plans to separate just yet, a second insider confirmed to Us that Lopez and Affleck. A third source said the couple is working on their relationship.

Lopez and Affleck — known as Bennifer — have a long history together, first dating in the early 2000s after meeting on the set of their movie Gigli. Affleck and the singer went public shortly after she filed for divorce from second husband Cris Judd in June 2002. She and Affleck had a whirlwind romance and engagement, but the two called off their September 2003 wedding and ultimately split in January 2004.
The A-listers reconnected in May 2021, nearly 20 years after calling off their engagement. They tied the knot in July 2022 during a trip to Las Vegas and enjoyed a more traditional ceremony with friends and family the following month in Georgia.
Both Affleck and Lopez have been married previously. Lopez was married to Cuban chef Ojani Noa for nearly a year in 1997 and then tied the knot with Judd in 2001. She wed Marc Anthony in 2004 and welcomed twins Emme and Maximilian four years later. They separated in 2011, finalizing their divorce in 2014.
Meanwhile, Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2005 and went on to welcome three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel. They announced their separation in June 2015 and finalized their divorce in 2018.
