Jordan Howlett Reveals Advice He’d Give Younger Generation of Influencers

Influencer Jordan Howlett is reflecting on his rise to fame online — and the advice he’d give the younger generation.

“I said this the other day and I mean, I think it holds true. … Don’t give up. You know, whatever you’re passionate about, whatever you love, keep going for it, ” Howlett, 27, exclusively told Us Weekly at the 2025 Webby Awards. “All the people that you see succeed in the biggest realms of stuff, it wasn’t just ‘cause they were talented, it’s because they persevered. So just keep persevering.”

Howlett, who has made videos with celebrities like Donald Glover and Method Man, gushed to Us that being at the New York City awards show “means the world.”

“It means the world to me because everyone who has tried to make content, who’s enjoyed content, who watches [content] because it relaxes them or calms down or people who make it to calm their fans down, it means the world,” he told Us. “So the fact that I’m around so much talent and so much greatness, I’m grateful. I’m humble.”

Megan Thee Stallion Says Black Female Artists Don’t Get Many ‘Options’

Howlett, known as Jordan the Stallion on TikTok, has amassed more than 14 million followers on the social media app. Howlett explained in a 2024 interview with Complex that his name was a “joke.”

“At the time, I was in college, and Megan Thee Stallion was really starting to get super big and popular. I played baseball and for baseball, people pride themselves on your leg strength, or you got to be able to squat real heavy in order to make it to the next level of things. I had just hit a max of I think 600 pounds or so,” Howlett said. “I was really feeling myself, so I was like, ‘Oh, I guess I got thick legs. I’m Jordan the Stallion.’”

Howlett shared that he changed his Instagram account to the name, but “didn’t think much of it” since he was playing sports and wasn’t prioritizing social media.

“So I kind of just kept the name in there and then when I started making videos, I just forgot to take it off and then it got so big to where the minute that somebody referenced me as that, I’m like, ‘Well, it’s too late now,’” he told the outlet. “But I don’t mind it. I like the name.”

While Howlett has publicly confirmed his age, the influencer said many don’t believe he’s telling the truth — which he said has been happening his entire life — because of his more mature look.

“I’ll run into people in real life, whether it be in an airport or a public setting, and they’ll pull me in real close and they’re like, ‘Hey, between me and you, really, how old are you?’ And I’m like, ‘27.’ And they’re like, ‘No, seriously. It’s just between me and you,’” he said. “They really think it’s a gag. They think it’s a joke. They think that I am doing it for the social media aspect. That’s just my existence.”
