Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Get VIP Treatment at James Taylor Concert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are singing a new tune to James Taylor

Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, headed backstage during the musician’s latest concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, California, on Tuesday, May 13.

“In my concert era ❤🎶 Thanks James!” she captioned a Wednesday, May 14, Instagram carousel, which began with a snap of Taylor, 77, signing a copy of his 2018 children’s book Sweet Baby James for the mother of two. (The couple are parents to son Archie, 6, and daughter Lilibet, 4.)

Another shot showed Harry posing with the “Fire and Rain” singer while wearing a gray sweater, shirt and hat. Meghan, meanwhile, greeted the folk rock icon in a long-sleeved navy blue dress.

Harry and Meghan Pack on the PDA at Beyonce Concert Amid Family Drama

This is the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s second concert date night in the past week. On Friday, May 9, they attended Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour stop in L.A.

Earlier this week, Meghan also celebrated Mother’s Day with her children. She posted a sweet pic of the little ones climbing all over her as she looked out on her Montecito, California backyard.

“Cheers to juggling it all with joy,” Meghan mused on Instagram. “And to these two gems — who still attempt to climb ‘mama mountain,’ smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure … being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life.”

Meghan and Harry moved to the Montecito coast from the United Kingdom in 2020 when they stepped down from their duties as senior working royals. The move reportedly created a rift between the duo and the British royal family that deepened during the publication of Harry’s bestselling memoir, Spare, in 2023 as well as the prince’s legal battle for increased security protection in the U.K. (Harry lost his latest court appeal in May.)

Everything We Know About Kate and Meghan’s Complex Relationship

“I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,” he recently told the BBC. “I love my country, I always have done, despite what some people in that country have done.”

Harry added, “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family.”

Meanwhile, reports have resurfaced regarding Meghan’s dispute with Princess Kate Middleton — who is the wife of Harry’s brother, Prince William — over the tailoring of Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress at her 2018 wedding to Harry. (William, 42, and Kate, 43, share three kids: George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7.)

“I can tell you that all the papers and commentators got this wrong, the truth is that as with many of these spats between sisters, brothers or even sisters-in-law, both sides were really upset,” Tom Quinn, author of the new book Yes, Ma’am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants, said according to Newsweek.

He continued, “The truth is that during the discussions about the bridesmaid’s dress, Meghan said a few things she regretted and Kate said a few things she later regretted, but it was all in the heat of the moment. Both women were crying their eyes out!”
