Mellencamp, 43, showed off the scars on her head at the Unforgettable Evening, Benefiting the Women’s Cancer Research Fund at the Beverly Hilton on Monday, April 28.

For the occasion, she chose to put her scars on display following her surgery to remove two tumors, which had metastasized from her Melanoma diagnosis. (Mellencamp still has some smaller tumors in her brain, which she will undergo radiation treatment for in the future.

Along with proudly embracing her scars, Mellencamp went full glam at the soirée, donning a dewy base with bronzed and blushed cheeks and filled-in eyebrows. She completed her makeup courtesy of flirty curled eyelashes, metallic gold shadow, a flick of liquid black eyeliner and nude glossy lips.
