Peacock has added a handful of movies to its library as April enters its final week.
While 2011’s Best Picture winner The Artist is among the most prominent new additions to Peacock, it could hardly be called underrated after taking home five Academy Awards.
Watch With Us’ mandate is to find the three underrated Peacock movies for you to watch this weekend. And it’s best to go with choices that are off the beaten path.
From our partners:
This week, the selections include a nearly 40-year-old thriller, an emotional roller coaster of a drama and a quirky comedy starring Will Ferrell.
7 Must-Watch Movies on Peacock Right Now (April 2025)
‘Manhunter’ (1986)
Anthony Hopkins‘ performance as Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs was so iconic that it’s easy to forget that Brian Cox played Hannibal first in director Michael Mann‘s Manhunter five years earlier. Future CSI star William Petersen portrays Will Graham, an FBI agent who is burned out following his deadly encounter with Hannibal. Will is only coaxed out of retirement when he discovers that Hannibal has been in touch with another serial killer, Francis Dollarhyde (Tom Noonan), through a series of personal ads.
Hannibal may be trapped in an asylum, but his connection with Dollarhyde gives him new ways to strike at Will. Dolarhyde also proves to be more adept at hiding his tracks than Hannibal was, and even Will’s attempt to goad the killer into slipping up only makes him more dangerous to his potential victims.

‘Rabbit Hole’ (2010)
Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart star in the emotional drama Rabbit Hole as a married couple who are falling apart at the seams. Their four-year-old son Danny has died in a tragic accident and neither Becca (Kidman) nor Howie (Eckhart) has been able to get over his death. Therapy doesn’t dilute their pain, and they don’t see eye-to-eye about how they should move on or if they should attempt to have another child.

‘Stranger Than Fiction’ (2006)
IRS agent Harold Crick (Will Ferrell) is a man who is no longer in charge of his own life in the comedy Stranger Than Fiction. Inexplicably, Harold has heard the voice of an author (Emma Thompson) in his head predicting that a minor action he performed will soon lead to his untimely demise. When Harold’s psychiatrist is unable to assist him, he turns to literary professor Jules Hilbert (Dustin Hoffman) for help figuring out why he’s suddenly in the starring role of someone else’s story.
As the author counts down to Harold’s inevitable demise, he starts finding new reasons to live, including an unexpected connection with baker Ana Pascal (Maggie Gyllenhaal). But the real question isn’t whether Harold can escape his fate, it’s whether he should even try. There are bigger stakes at hand than he realizes, and Harold needs to ultimately make his own decisions.
