30 Comfy Shoes That Celebrities Actually Wear Daily

Hollywood often is not synonymous with sensible footwear. Whether you’re flipping through a magazine or passing them on the street IRL, pop-stars, models and actors are most commonly sporting stilettos, pumps, heeled boots… anything high-fashion and high-dollar.

But with street style on the rise, more and more celebrities are starting to opt for comfy shoes rather than toe-crushing footwear. From supportive everyday Mary Janes to skater sneakers to boat shoes, you don’t have to ruin your feet and your budget to wear star style every day. They’re definitely not all bargains (Jen’s Guccis are eyewatering!), but Jennifer Lawrence is happy with $50 Vans, so there’s something for every occasion AND budget.

Flats That Hollywood is Loving Right Now

Sneakers (lower down) are great and all, but whether it’s a professional or social setting, there are times you need something dressier. Mary Janes, flats, loafers and boat shoes are comfy, timeless and best of all, can be dressed up for almost any occasion.

Sneakers Celebrities are Wearing Daily

No matter who you are, you just need some comfy sneakers for when you’re going to be on your feet. The trick is finding a pair that you can make your style.

  1. Retro AF: Drew Barrymore loves her New Balance 574s, which is a timeless style that hit shelves in 1988. Even though her go-to pair came from an exclusive collaboration with the fashion brand, Staud, Yahoo! Life reports, the style itself is still alive and well.
  2. NYC’s Go-To: Even though Nike Cortez sneakers came out in 1972 for Munich’s Olympic Games, they’re especially popular in the Big Apple right now. Actor Dakota Johnson has been seen wearing them time and time again, so naturally we need a pair.
  3. Iconic: Everyone loves Chuck Taylors — including British model Alexa Chung. Earlier this year, she wore a black pair of Chuck Taylors with black overalls and a white button-down top, for a collaboration with AG Jeans. Totally classic.
  4. Unisex Styles: Macklemore is always wearing his New Balance Unisex 500s. According to The Strategist, he likes that they’re comfortable, provide arch support and “can wear them with anything.”
  5. Cross-Trainers: Padma Lakshmi is always lacing up her On Cloud X 3’s after long days on set, according to TODAY. She wears them on daily walks, trips to the gym and beyond.
  6. Too Timeless: Gigi Hadid is a known fan of Adidas sneakers — specifically her red Gazelles. She’s worn them with long jean shorts; trench coats; and even a long white skirt.
  7. Old Skool: Leave it to J-Law to love sneakers — specifically Vans Old Skools. According to Marie Claire, she pairs them with just about anything, wearing them around the city, to the airport and more.
  8. Dad Sneaks: Vans aren’t the only comfy shoe Jennifer Lawrence likes. New Balance 1906Rs are another sneaker the Hunger Games actor wears, according to Vogue, which are both cushy and tasteful.
  9. Street Style: Also according to Vogue, model Emily Ratajkowski pairs Puma Speedcats with everyday ‘fits. She recently wore them out with a leather trench coat and billowy pants… too chic.
  10. Sleek but Supportive: While Oca Low Black Canvas Sneakers are less than $100 (and available at Walmart!) they’re sitting in the closets of Hollywood’s finest, including Helen Mirren. Super casual and great for all-day wear.

Slip-Ons and Sandals You Need In Your Closet ASAP

Like flats, slip-ons are warmly welcomed in the world of Hollywood where heels are the norm. Celebrities are loving these comfy AF slip-on shoes.

  1. Ugly-Cute: Whoever said Crocs weren’t the best clearly hasn’t tried on a pair. The colorful foam-like shoes are popular among several celebrities. Bad Bunny even customized glow-in-the-dark pair that sold out instantaneously.
  2. Simple Summer: Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber and even Margot Robbie wear Birkenstock Arizona Sandals in the wild. According to InStyle, Margot even wore them in Barbie, reiterating our love for the popular German shoe.
  3.  Superb Support: Guy Fieri loves his Oofos OOriginal Sandals so much, that he looks forward to summer just so he can break them out again, TODAY reports.
“They’ve got great support and they’re super comfy,” he says.
  4. Skater Boy: Some things don’t change… like Nick Jonas’ love for Vans Classic Slip-Ons. He likes a little edge, and a pop of color.
“They’re in my bag every single time I travel,” he tells The Strategist.
  5. Cool and Casual: Even though Veronica Beard Dacey Clogs have a slight heel, they’re significantly more comfortable than your average heel. Hilary Duff wore them during a guest appearance on The Bachelor a few years ago. And let’s just say we’ve been dreaming about them since.
  6. Well-Dressed but Comfortable: Who ever said dressing comfortable meant dressing frumpy? The Strategist reports stars like Julianne Moore love No. 6’s Old School Clogs, which — albeit aren’t cheap — but they look and feel great.
  7. Cute Colors: Comedian Bridgette Everett is a fan of Charlotte Stone Martino Low-Heel Clogs — and in fact — owns 12 pairs.
“It’s hard to find cute shoes when you have big-girl feet,” she told The Strategist.
  8. Playful: Simon Miller’s Bubble Clogs are undeniably fun-loving, so it’s no surprise they have garnered quite a bit of popularity in the last few years. Stars including Vanessa Hudgens have sported them, and honestly, we get the hype.
  9. Modern Elegance: Vagabond Loafers are famous for “thoughtful craftsmanship,” The Zoe Report explains. Notable trend-setters like Olivia Rodrigo gravitate to them, and honestly, we get why!
  10. Forever Fave: Hollywood celebs and everyday folks alike love Birkenstock Boston Clogs. Even Kristin Stewart is a fan. Because seriously, why not?
