Teddi Mellencamp stunned as she showed off her new wig amid cancer treatment.
In a Wednesday, April 9, Instagram post, Mellencamp, 43, gazed at the camera as she rocked long blonde tresses with a green strapless dress. She paired the look with a chunky gold necklace, which was gifted to her by Southern Charm’s Shep Rose.
“Finished doing the pod with [Tamra Judge]. Look what made it just in time, my megalodon,” Mellencamp said in the video, showing a close-up of the necklace. “I’m very pleased with you, Shep. I’m adding this to the rotation of things that I wear. I don’t know what a megalodon does. I could use a little information on this. But we get into it a little bit on the pod.”

She captioned the post, “Does this Megalodon tooth make me look like I’m dating @relationshep or trying to get on Southern Charm? #giftsfromshep.”

The comments section of Mellencamp’s post was filled with her friends showing their support for her look. “Slate’s twin,” Kyle Richards wrote, referring to Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave’s 12-year-old daughter. (Mellencamp, who filed for divorce from Arroyave in November 2024, shares son Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5, with her estranged husband.)
The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Dolores Catania added, “Stunningggg .”
Mellencamp shared in February that doctors found “multiple tumors” on her brain, leading her to undergo surgery. Mellencamp revealed the next month that doctors had found more tumors on her brain.
“I’m fighting for my life,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in a cover story earlier this month. “But also for my family’s life and all the people I love.”
Teddi Mellencamp Doesn’t Always Wear a Wig Amid Cancer Diagnosis
While undergoing her cancer battle, Mellencamp shaved her head. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum claimed she didn’t think she “cared that much” about her hair change.
“Something that hit me really hard was the first time I went to work out: I’m sitting there bald, my entire body looked completely different because [of the] steroids,” she told Us. “I tried to run, and I couldn’t. That was pretty devastating to me. I was at Barry’s Bootcamp, crying. The poor [instructor is] looking at me like, ‘You good?’”
Mellencamp said her perspective on her looks changes, telling Us, “It depends. There are some days [where] I think you’re allowed to say, ‘I don’t feel confident right now, I feel very uncomfortable and I want to wear a wig.’ And there are some days that I’m like, ‘It is what it is.’ Some days, I’m really sad and really scared, and some days, I’m like, ‘I got this; I’m not worried.’”
