JoJo Siwa’s Partner Breaks Silence on Mickey Rourke’s ‘Homophobic’ Comments

JoJo Siwa‘s partner Kath Ebbs had a scathing response to Mickey Rourke’s “homophobic” comments on Celebrity Big Brother UK.

“A lot of people want to know my thoughts on Mickey Rourke — or however the f*** you say his last name — [and] his comments towards my partner JoJo on Big Brother and quite frankly it is beyond disgusting and it’s literally taken me many hours to even process what the f*** I just watched,” Ebbs, 27, said via Instagram on Wednesday, April 9. “Not only because that is the literal love of my life and I want to protect her at all costs and I feel so helpless that I cannot be there to not only comfort her but to also lose it at that f***ing weasel of a man but secondly take the fact out that I have massive emotional stakes in the comments towards her.”

Ebbs said that Rourke’s behavior was “rooted in misogyny and violence,” adding, “I’ve seen people commenting about his homophobia but it is also his violent comments. … He then proceeds to tell her that he is going to turn her straight if she is in the house long enough. She shuts it down. Once she shuts it down she says he’s going to tie her up. That is a rape joke, that’s what that is, call it what is is.”

The personal trainer, who has been dating Siwa, 21, since November 2024, slammed Rourke, 72, in the lengthy response.

“He deemed her unf****** in that moment and then went if the male gaze is not apart of this situation and I have no power over you sexually, which also no offense Mickey you look like a f****ing foot so you don’t stand a chance with anyone anyway because your a f****ing loser,” Ebbs continued. “Yes, I am glad that the production gave him a formal warning and told him he said he was homophobic but that is dangerous, dangerous language and obviously it is a TV show with cameras everywhere and security.”

During the newest episode of Celebrity Big Brother UK, Rourke asked Siwa about her sexuality. Rourke told the professional dancer that if he stayed in the house longer than four days then she “won’t be gay anymore,” to which Siwa replied, “I can guarantee I’ll still be gay. And I’ll still be in a very happy relationship.”

Rourke subsequently told costar Chris Hughes that he was “going to vote the lesbian out real quick.” When Siwa overheard his remarks, she replied, “That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning.” Hughes defended Siwa from the harmful commentary.

“And obviously we saw the beautiful Chris Hughes which thank you Chris, thank you for doing my job, I was very upset and then when I saw him backing her, having her back and comforting her made me feel a little bit better especially because this sounds really f***** up because he is a cis straight white man,” Ebbs noted on Wednesday. “And they’re the kind of allies unfortunately I hate to say it that we need in situations like this to stand up to violent f****ing misogynistic homophobic men.”

Ebbs expressed hope that viewers would vote Rourke out.

“I don’t give a f*** if you think he is entertaining, I don’t give a f***,” she added. “He’s a pig and he is a dangerous person. I wouldn’t want to be alone in a room with him and I wouldn’t want f****ing anyone to be alone in a room with him.”

Unexpected Celebrity Feuds We Never Saw Coming

Celebrity Big Brother UK producers ultimately stepped in and called the actor to the “diary room” with a strong warning.

“Mickey, before you entered the Big Brother house, the rules regarding unacceptable language and behavior were explained to you,” an announcer said. “Big Brother thinks your language was offensive and unacceptable. As a result, Big Brother is giving you a formal warning. Further language or behavior of this nature could lead to you being removed from the Big Brother house.”

Rourke, who is known for his movies and for being a former professional boxer, defended himself by saying he was “just talking smack.”

“I wasn’t taking it all so serious,” he noted. “I didn’t mean in it any bad intentions and if I did, sorry.”

Rourke apologized directly to Siwa saying, “I want to apologize. I’ve got a habit of having a short fuse. And I don’t mean nothing by it. I do mean it [sorry]. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t say it to you.”
