Brooke Hogan is moving forward after ongoing drama with her extended family.

,” Hogan, 36, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, March 29, alongside a snap with husband Steven Oleksy.

Brooke made headlines on Wednesday, March 26, when her mom, Linda Hogan, claimed they hadn’t spoken in nearly eight years.

“It’s been 15 — or longer — years since I left Hulk Hogan and my family is in the worst mess,” Linda claimed in a since-expired video obtained by multiple outlets. “Brooke doesn’t talk to us. She’s had twins. She got married, she didn’t tell us. She had a huge fight with Terry. I don’t know how that reflected onto me, but she cut me out too.”
The next day, Brooke addressed her mother’s claims and explained that she was estranged from both of her parents for different reasons. (Brooke is the daughter of Linda and Hulk, who are also parents to Nick Hogan.)
“I have completely separate reasons for going no contact with each of my parents,” Brooke wrote in a Thursday, March 27, Instagram statement. “No contact with my mom has nothing to do with my dad, and no contact with my father has nothing to do with my mother. … This decision was made based purely on how they have each dealt with me my entire life.”
Brooke claimed that she was “extremely verbally and mentally abused” during her childhood, which would allegedly “frequently turn physical.” Brooke did not name her alleged abuser but stressed that the claims were “not pointed” at either of her parents.

“This vicious pattern has robbed me of any sense of self-esteem or confidence I’ve been trained to pretend to have,” Brooke added. “It took me many years to figure out the things that were seemingly done ‘for me’ really benefited someone else in a greater capacity. … No child or human should ever experience something like this.”
Brooke claimed that she “so badly wanted to see good” in her family members and has been in therapy to “break the chain” and take back control in her life — and cut off communication with some.
“As much as I not only understand and have empathy for their own struggles, I absolutely LOVE them with every fiber of my being — which deep down I think they know,” Brooke said. “My heart hurts every day, and not a day passes [that] it does not affect me. Inside of me, there is a little girl who desperately wants and needs her mom and dad. No one wants this, to feel so much pain and not have parents … [and] I hope, one day, they realize, appreciate and respect why I’ve chosen to remain as quiet as possible.”
The following day, Linda fired back at Brooke and called her a “narcissist” and appeared to address the claims of “abuse.”

“I think I spanked Brooke once yeah I called her a couple couple [sic] of names, by no means ever treated her the way she’s painting it,” Linda wrote via Facebook on Friday, March 28. “They had cell phones. She could’ve posted horrible things about me back when all of this was supposedly happening, but nothing she didn’t because nothing was happening, but when she took her dad‘s side after the divorce and wrote the wonderful Mom song, and went to all the tabloids because Terry was using her as a tool.. her memory is completely skewed about the treatment that she received growing up in our household, and you can talk to anyone. You can ask anybody you can ask Terry .. that none of the stuff ever happened.”
In the post, Linda also accused Brooke of being violent while drinking. Hours later, Brooke disputed the claims.
“My post did not directly accuse anyone of the behaviors mentioned. So if she is triggered by something, I think that speaks volumes,” Brooke wrote via Instagram. “She is however, making a serious accusation against me directly that has zero validity. And THAT I take seriously.”

Brooke has not further addressed her estrangement from Hulk (real name Terry Gene Bollea). “Terry not speaking to Brooke is [a] much more recent thing,” a source exclusively told Us, adding that the 71-year-old former wrestler “tells people he doesn’t specifically know why Brooke won’t speak to him.”
Linda, for her part, claimed in a Saturday, March 29, interview with TMZ that while Hulk was “a s***ty husband sometimes,” he was “always a good father” to their two kids. Linda also said that she doesn’t think a reconciliation is possible with Brooke. (Linda and Hulk divorced in 2009.)
“After what Brooke has done and to punish us and torture us, to get married and to have twins and to not call us, the damage has already been done,” Linda told TMZ. “I don’t think she could hurt us anymore, so she can just march on her merry way with her family. I wish them well, but she has left a path of destruction.”
