Jenna Ortega is all about fashion — even when it’s uncomfortable.
Ortega, 22, stepped out in a red Oscar de la Renta dress that shimmered with every step she took during a Tuesday, March 25, appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
After walking out and being greeted by Colbert, 60, he complimented her ensemble, praising it for being “beautiful.”
From our partners:
“Thanks so much! It’s made of glass,” Ortega revealed of the $12,990 mosaic design, which featured a strapless neckline and a sheer fitted silhouette covered with broken glass.. “I’m not going to lie … sometimes there’s pieces of it that are poking my ass every time I sit.”

Colbert then chimed in and asked medics to stand by just in case a shard were to break off and hurt her.
“I feel uncomfortable but extremely comfortable at the same time,” the Wednesday actress reassured him.

Ortega completed the frock with elegant makeup, including a dewy base with bronzed and blushed cheeks. Her foundation was seamless, but her eyebrows were perfectly filled-in. She accented her brown eyes with a soft brown eyeshadow and winged eyeliner. The most noteworthy part of her glam was no doubt her matte pout, which was lined in a wine-red shade to match her dress.
Ortega added the perfect amount of sparkle to her getup with a ruby and diamond ring and a coordinating necklace featuring a dark red gem set in gold.

She parted her hair, which was also dyed in a burgundy shade, down the middle and wore her mane in a curly blowout.
This isn’t the first time Ortega has wowed in red. In August 2024, she looked ethereal in a tailored Alexander McQueen blazer dress, which gave fans a glimpse of her lacy bra at a Beetlejuice Beetlejuice photocall. The actress paired the number with opaque cherry tights and platform pumps.
