Jennifer Lopez reportedly purchased a house following the finalization of her divorce from Ben Affleck.
According to a report from People, published on Tuesday, March 25, Lopez, 55, bought “a new home near Los Angeles for about $18 million,” with the outlet citing property records.
The news arrived less than three months after Lopez’s divorce from Affleck, 52, was finalized, however, the former couple had to wait beyond the January 6 finalization to be recorded as officially single on February 20, per TMZ.

Ben Affleck Buys $20 Million Home in Los Angeles Without Jennifer Lopez
Lopez’s reported purchase came after Affleck recently broke his silence surrounding his split from the “Let’s Get Loud” singer, revealing there was no “major fracture” that sparked a demise. (Affleck purchased a $20 million Los Angeles home of his own on July 24, 2024, as confirmed by Us Weekly at the time.)
In an interview with GQ magazine, published on Tuesday, March 25, Affleck was asked about why he chose to be involved in Lopez’s 2024 documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told. (The documentary was a companion piece to Lopez’ 2024 visual album, This Is Me … Now, and included scenes where Affleck discussed their relationship.)

“Part of it was, ‘OK, if I’m going to participate in this, I want to try to do it in an honest way and in a way that’s interesting,’” the Argo star told the outlet. “Because I thought it was an interesting examination.”
Affleck further praised Lopez for being somebody who “handles celebrity more adeptly and more adroitly than I have.”
He explained, “My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers. As happens in relationships, you don’t always have the same attitude towards these things. And so I thought, ‘Oh, this is interesting because how do you reconcile that?’ Because … I love and support this person. I believe in them. They’re great. I want people to see that.”

Another source added at the time that Affleck had moved out of their shared home “several weeks” prior.
