Gal Gadot got candid about a health scare she experienced before welcoming her fourth daughter with husband Jaron Varsano.
“I had a huge scare. All of a sudden, I realized what it means to be scared to death,” Gadot, 39, said on the Monday, March 10, episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, explaining that she was “very pregnant” at the time. “I’m talking about it just because I think it’s so important because if someone out there in the world is going to have the same thing, because she hear my story, she’s going to get checked.”
The Wonder Woman star said that her “brain clot” was “a huge one,” adding “Like three, I had three. When I do something, I do it all the way.”

“You got to advocate for your health. Our bodies are always communicating with us, we just need to listen and get checked. If anything, you’re going to over check yourself. But it’s better to overcheck than undercheck,” she said.
After experiencing “crazy headaches,” Gadot’s mom encouraged her to get an MRI. “We did. They found out this horrible thing and we were rushed to the hospital and they got the baby out immediately,” she said. “And I went through a thrombectomy.”

Gadot said that she had an “amazing” team at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, claiming that they “saved” her life. “Just love yourself and check yourself and be on top of your health,” Gadot encouraged viewers.
Gadot shared in December 2024 that she had been diagnosed with a “massive blood clot” in her brain during her eighth month of pregnancy earlier that year. “My daughter, Ori, was born during that moment of uncertainty and fear. Her name, meaning ‘my light,’ wasn’t chosen by chance,” she wrote via Instagram. “Before the surgery, I told Jaron that when our daughter arrived, she would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel.”
