Sometimes the best way to celebrate Valentine’s Day is to stay in for a little Netflix and chill.
For those looking to spend the holiday at home, there are plenty of classic and newer rom-coms currently streaming to watch while cozying up with a loved one. Not only did the 2018 Netflix original To All the Boys I Loved Before have fans saying, “Woah, woah, woah,” but it also sparked two sequels — 2020’s P.S. I Still Love You and 2021’s Always and Forever — and a spinoff series, XO, Kitty.
While TATBILB established Lara Jean Song Covey (Lana Condor) and Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) as one the romance genre’s newest power couples, others such as Notting Hill’s William Thacker (Hugh Grant) and Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) will forever be fan favorites.
From our partners:
The 1999 film further cemented Grant and Roberts as rom-com royalty and also gave fans one of the most iconic lines in movie history. While confessing her feelings to William, Anna famously states, “I’m also just a girl standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.”

‘Miss Congeniality’

The romance between Gracie Hart (Sandra Bullock) and Eric Matthews (Benjamin Bratt) may not be the main story line of the 2000 action comedy, but the pair’s coworkers-to-crushes evolution continues to make us swoon. Not to mention, they both kick butt while taking down a terror threat at a beauty pageant.
‘Notting Hill’

While British bookstore owner William and American actress Anna face several romantic ups and downs, the 1999 film proves that not even lifestyle differences and societal expectations can stand in the way of true love.
‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’

Lara Jean may not have enjoyed all of her love letters making their way into the hands of past crushes in the first of the Netflix original film trilogy, but the beginning of her and Peter’s love story has Us continuing to revisit TATBILB all these years later.
’13 Going on 30′

The 2004 rom-com still has Us wishing to be “30, flirty and thriving.” The movie follows Jenna Rink (Jennifer Garner) as her teen self wishes to become 30 years old. She quickly learns that adult life might not be everything she hoped for, especially when it comes to her relationship with best friend Matty (Mark Ruffalo).
‘Anyone But You’

Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney’s chemistry was so strong in the 2023 rom-com that they sparked dating rumors IRL. Their romance, however, exists only in the film, which follows the enemies-to-lovers story of Beatrice (Sweeney) and Ben (Powell) who pretend to date during a trip to Australia for a wedding. (We’ll never get Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” out of our heads.)
‘The Wedding Planner’

Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey have starred in their fair share of rom-coms over the years, but 2001’s The Wedding Planner continues to hold up. The right love, wrong time story follows Lopez’s titular wedding planner who catches feelings for a man who saved her life, only to learn he’s the groom in the latest wedding she’s hired to work on.
‘Set It Up’

Before Anyone But You, Powell made a splash in the rom-com genre alongside Zoey Deutch in this 2018 Netflix original movie. Looking to catch a break from their demanding bosses (played by Taye Diggs and Lucy Liu), Charlie and Harper team up to set up their supervisors on a date. Just as their bosses begin to catch feelings, so do the two of them.
‘The Lost City’

Bullock and Channing Tatum’s comedic and romantic chemistry shines in this 2022 flick. After romance author Loretta Sage (Bullock) gets kidnapped to help an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) to find the titular Lost City, her book cover model Alan Caprison (Tatum) sets off on a mission to save his secret crush.
‘When We First Met’

Adam Devine brings both laughs and heart to the 2022 Netflix original movie. Upon discovering a time-traveling photo booth, Noah (Devine) revisits the night he was friend-zoned by his crush, Avery (Alexandra Daddario), in hopes of changing their present-day relationship status.
‘Love Again’

The 2023 movie stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Mira, a woman grieving the loss of her husband. As she continues to text her late spouse’s former phone number, she begins to fall for Sam Heughan’s Rob — who is actually on the receiving end of her text messages. Not only does the film feature Céline Dion’s music, but the legendary pop star also plays none other than herself on screen.
