Criminal Minds alum Shemar Moore and Jesiree Dizon were together for five years before calling it quits in January 2025, but their love story actually started years prior.
Moore and Dizon first connected in 2008 but went their separate ways. The former couple reunited and rekindled their romance in 2020. The exes welcomed a daughter together in January 2023, two years before pulling the plug on their romance.
Multiple outlets announced the news of Moore and Dizon’s split before the actor confirmed the news in a lengthy Instagram video.

Moore referred to his ex as an “amazing woman for so many reasons,” calling her a “phenomenal mother” to their daughter. (Dizon is also the mother of two children from prior relationships.)
“She’s wonderful in so many ways,” he added. “Yes, we have our differences, but we gonna love each other and we gonna love the hell out of our daughter Frankie.”

“We actually dated 15 years ago,” Moore revealed during a 2023 appearance on The Talk. “It was wonderful, I just wasn’t ready for that settle-down family thing, I got a little spooked.”

Moore announced via Instagram that his mom had died. He noted during the same The Talk interview that her “karma” allowed him and Dizon to get back together.

The couple welcomed their daughter, Frankie.

“Life has a funny way of life-ing. They say ‘what is meant to be, will be.’ 13 years later and look at us …. We be!” Dizon captioned an Instagram post with Moore. “Happy Valentines Day, stud! Thank you for life-ing with us. We love you.”

Moore appeared on The Talk, and Frankie made her talk show debut with Dizon.
“I call her my little Fatty Patty,” the actor gushed over his daughter. “Her arms just look like a bunch of biscuits.”

Dizon celebrated Moore’s birthday with a throwback photo.
“From being babies to having a baby. Another trip around the sun with you. Another year of loving you. Another year of watching you grow. Another year as your cheerleader. Moore and Dizon shared a kiss while walking the CBS Fall Schedule Celebration red carpet.
January 2025
Dizon confirmed that she and Moore had split.
“Even though our romantic journey has ended, we are still stuck together FOR LIFE so let’s kill this parenting thing … TOGETHER,” she wrote via Instagram. “You are the most amazing daddy to Frankie … Still and will always be your best role yet. I will always love you.”
