Nikki Glaser is addressing rumors that she’s already set to host next year’s Golden Globe Awards after her well-received debut in January.

“I keep seeing headlines that [say], ‘She’s got a deal to do three more [Golden Globes ceremonies],” Glaser, 40, told Entertainment Tonight at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 2, before clarifying: “I haven’t heard about this [offer] yet.”

Last month, the stand-up comedian followed in the footsteps of previous Globes hosts like Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and Jerrod Carmichael by serving as the MC for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s (HFPA) annual gala on January 5.

While last year’s host, Jo Koy, was widely criticized for insulting his own joke writers during the 2024 ceremony, Glaser received mostly positive reviews for gently poking fun at Glen Powell, Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet, among others, in her opening monologue.

Glaser has since downplayed reports that the HFPA have already offered her a multi-year deal to return as host of the Golden Globes. On Sunday, the Not Safe with Nikki Glaser star added that, although a deal to return from the HFPA isn’t yet on the table yet, she would absolutely consider a Globes comeback.

“I think I like them [the HFPA] as much as they like me and I would like to keep this relationship going because I had a blast doing it,” she said. “It was hard work but it was the best job I’ve ever had.”

Glaser shared some insight on how she approached the hosting job, confirming that it was never her intention to be rude or mean-spirited.

“The goal going in was, you know, I made a mission statement before I began preparing,” she recalled. “I was like… what I want to do is I want to be funny but when I watch an award show, I just want to feel like I’m in good hands… I wanted to leave that awards show and have people [say], ‘I want her to host more things. That was comfortable to watch. I wasn’t nervous for her.’ And that’s what I came away with.’”

The comedian added: “I achieved my goal. I just wanted people to have a fun time and not feel like I was going after anyone… I worked hard to fulfill that tone and I feel like I succeeded.”

Shortly before Glaser made her hosting debut in January, she confirmed on the Golden Globes red carpet that she’d practiced her monologue an astounding 93 times.

“[On stage] will be my 94th time telling some version of this,” she revealed. “I mean, it’s still changed even from the last time I told it until now, so we’re constantly making edits, trying to top jokes, trying to strike the right note and tone for the evening. But a lot of work has gone into it.”

The comic later confirmed on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show that she did cut one joke from her Globes set because it was too controversial.

Glaser would have told the star-studded audience in her scrapped joke: “This is the last time all of you will be in the same room together until the Diddy trial.”

The former FBoy Island host was in attendance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday as a guest rather than a host, where she sat near Jennifer Lopez after making a naughty crack about Lopez’s ex Ben Affleck at the Globes.

The 83rd Golden Globe Awards are expected to take place in January 2026.
