TMZ reported that Deidrick had allegedly told authorities he got into a fight with his girlfriend when he thought she was recording him with her phone and lashed out, allegedly grabbing the phone from her. His girlfriend confirmed to police that the couple had fought, but denied that she had been recording him.
Deidrick also allegedly told authorities his girlfriend put her hands around his neck, per TMZ, but authorities claimed to have found no evidence of that.
It was also reported that Deidrick’s girlfriend had informed police she had allegedly cowered in a corner while they fought when Deidrick ripped the phone out of her hands. Deidrick’s girlfriend claimed to have called 911 after the actor gave her her phone back.
A daily booking list labeled for Thursday, January 30 to Sunday, February 2, from where Diedrick was held at the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office does not include his name.
Deidrick first appeared on Days of Our Lives in June 2009. He continued to play DiMera — the youngest son of the series’ villain, Stefano DiMera — until his departure in 2013. Billy Flynn took over the part following Deidrick’s departure.
The cast of Days of Our Lives recently mourned the death of Francisco San Martin, who died on January 21 at age 39. Martin originated the role of Dario Hernandez on the long-running soap opera.

“Pepe, what can I say but I love you and rest in peace, my friend,” she wrote at the time.“My only witness that pau sang happy birthday to me in the middle of a concert in Hollywood, you couldn’t believe it. Love you mucho mucho mucho; I wish I had told you more.”
The show celebrated its 60th anniversary beginning November 8, 2024. Former stars Peter Reckell (Bo Brady) and Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) returned to the show in 2025 to mark the occasion. “I love playing Sami and I am always happy for the chance to come back,” Sweeney told TV Insider. “We always have to figure out scheduling and such, but, if at all possible, I’m so glad to make it happen.”
