No, Taylor Swift was not secretly hiding an engagement ring at the AFC Championship game.
After Swift, 35, sported a pair of fashionable Louis Vuitton kit gloves while cheering on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, January 26, fans were quick to theorize the accessory was secretly hiding a ring on her left hand. However, photos of Swift at the game literally debunk the engagement speculation.
The Grammy winner was not spotted wearing anything on her left ring finger upon arriving at Arrowhead Stadium in an oversized Louis Vuitton hoodie and matching beanie. She completed her game day ensemble with a black mini skirt, red tights, combat boots and a black purse. On her left hand, Swift could be seen wearing a ring on her pointer finger as well as a wristwatch. Additional jewelry pieces included a gold bracelet and a gold pendant necklace.

Swift was once again photographed ring-less in an Instagram Story snap shared by Kelce’s friend and former teammate Ross Travis. “Big Team Win!” Ross, 32, captioned a pic of himself, Swift, Kelce, 25, and more friends celebrating the Chiefs’ win.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Best Moments From the 2025 AFC Championship
Swift put her gloves on to keep warm while walking on the Arrowhead Stadium field after the game with quarterback Patrick Mahomes‘ wife, Brittany Mahomes, and Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce. (The temperature was around 30 degrees at kickoff and well into the 20s at the time she would’ve been on the field.)
The Chiefs secured their Super Bowl LIX spot by defeating the Buffalo Bills with a score of 32-29. On the field, Swift congratulated Kelce by sharing a sweet kiss with the athlete.
Swift notably wore gloves at another Chiefs game this season, as she fought the cold weather in a pair of black leather gloves at the team’s January 18 playoff game against the Houston Texans. At the time, Swift sported a pearly Chanel belt over a black minidress, which she paired with a checked jacket, black knee-high boots, a Chanel purse and her classic red lip.
Last month, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that while Swift thinks Travis is “The One,” she’s not looking into rushing their next relationship steps. “That’s just not how she does [things]. Marriage is a big deal, and she wants [it to be] forever,” the insider explained.

The source went on to note that the pair were looking forward to spending “quality time together” following the conclusion of Swit’s Eras Tour in December 2024. “[That’s when] the little nuances about someone’s personality and habits come into play,” the insider shared. “They will learn so much about each other.”
Just as Travis supported Swift at several of her Eras Tour concerts, she has attended many of the Chiefs’ games throughout the 2024/2025 NFL season. Travis even credited Swift with keeping his love of football alive in an interview on “The Stephen A. Smith Show” earlier this month.
“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” he shared on January 15. “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me, so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
He added: “I think, personally, the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you. … That’s why I wanted to be at [her] concerts supporting her and being there for her, making sure she feels comfortable and supported in everything she’s doing in life.”
