Following its world premiere at the Annecy Film Festival in June, Walt Disney Animation Studios today released the official trailer for Once Upon a Studio. The highly anticipated short film will make its broadcast debut on Sunday, October 15, as part of ABC’s The Wonderful World of Disney: Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration!, hosted by Kelly Ripa.
In Once Upon a Studio, an all-star ensemble of beloved characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios assembles to take a group photo in honor of The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary—making for a joyful, entertaining, and emotional reunion. Featuring 543 characters from more than 85 feature-length and short films, Once Upon a Studio welcomes heroes and villains, princes and princesses, sidekicks and sorcerers—in all-new hand-drawn and CG animation—to celebrate 10 decades of storytelling, artistry, and technological achievements.
Once Upon a Studio is directed by Dan Abraham and Trent Correy and produced by Yvett Merino and Bradford Simonsen.

Beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, October 15, The Wonderful World of Disney: Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration! will kick off with an episode of America’s Funniest Home Videos, followed by a lineup that includes exclusive moments featuring Ripa and sneak peeks of upcoming Disney projects. The special program will include the broadcast premieres of both Once Upon a Studio and the Academy Award®-winning film Encanto.
