Bring home the smell and nostalgia of a fresh-cut fir or spruce this holiday season by cutting your own Christmas tree. Here’s our list of 11 places to cut your own Christmas tree near Vancouver in 2022.

Z & Z Christmas Trees, Richmond

Cut down a Christmas tree the old-fashioned way in Richmond. Borrow a saw, then walk out into their 10-acre farm to choose your tree from hundreds of Douglas firs. If you want a giant tree, they have some 20′ and 30′ trees too!

Location: 6440 Steveston Highway, Richmond

Hours: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on November 27 and December 3, 4, 10, and 11. You can also arrange to access the U-cut lot Monday through Friday by visiting their pre-cut tree lot at 6980 Steveston Highway (at the corner of Gilbert and Steveston).

Armstrong Creek Farm, Surrey

This Cloverdale farm has three different Christmas tree fields with a salmon-bearing stream running through them. They also sell pre-cut trees.

Head out into the farm fields and choose a Christmas tree from three different species of fir. You can bring your own saw or borrow one of theirs. They sell festive bunches of holly too.

Aldor Acres Christmas Tree Farm, Langley

Wander through the farm to cut your own Christmas tree, then visit the farm animals and seasonal market. They have fresh eggs, small-batch preserves, and artisan soaps. Entry is $5 per person.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends November 26 to December 18.
