In its debut weekend, Marvel Studios’ action-adventure Thor: Love and Thunder opened at No. 1 in nearly all markets, earning an estimated $303.2 million worldwide.
Domestically, the film topped the box office with $144 million, representing the fourth highest domestic opening weekend of the pandemic era, as well as the third highest domestic opening weekend of 2022 to date. Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) titles now account for five of the top 10 pandemic era domestic opening weekends, with Thor: Love and Thunder coming in at No. 4 behind Spider-Man: No Way Home (No. 1) and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (No. 2). Rounding out the top 10 are Black Widow (No. 9) and Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings (No. 10).
Internationally, Thor: Love and Thunder earned $159.2 million, marking the third highest international opening weekend posted by any MPA film during the pandemic era and the ninth MCU opening weekend of all-time (+29% ahead of Thor: Ragnarok).

Thor: Love and Thunder marked the second highest opening weekend during the pandemic era in Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines, as well as the third highest opening weekend during the pandemic era in Brazil, Italy, Thailand, Singapore, Argentina, Central America, Chile, Ecuador, Greece, Hungary, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, and Turkey. The film did not open over the weekend in China, France, or Russia.
