With bright holiday spirit, Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche has welcomed the Institut Imagine – which conducts research into genetic diseases – to raise funds with a little help from French judo champion and sponsor Teddy Riner. All proceeds from the special operation will be donated to the Institut Imagine.
This initiative includes an auction, sales of Teddy Riner x Imagine teddy bears, and an invitation to round up purchases at the store to make a small donation to the cause.
An auction organized by Drouot Estimations took place on December 9 at the restaurant La Table in La Grande Epicerie de Paris. The catalogue of 30 lots included a judo kimono and judo belt worn by Teddy Riner, signed teddy bears and a training session with the judo champion. The different sports-inspired lots were chosen by Teddy Riner himself.
From our partners:
Teddy Riner has been involved in supporting research into genetic diseases since the creation of the Institut Imagine. Regularly in contact with young patients at the center and their families, he shares the founding values of the center and its staff, namely combativeness, humility, generosity, respect and humanism.
Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche was opened in 1852 by Aristide Boucicaut and his wife Marguerite. This trailblazing couple were known for their efforts to improve the working conditions of their employees. Honoring this legacy, the iconic department store was delighted to host the auction and help raise funds, carrying on the values of humanism and solidarity that it has always championed.
