The COVID-19 pandemic has undeniably given rise to dating apps. With lockdowns in place and social distancing, it’s easy to see why most people turn to online dating and apps to find their true love.
This infographic according to the Statista Global Consumer Survey. shows the top dating apps in the US.
Last March 2020, Tinder recorded 3 billion swipes on a single day, it’s highest record to date. No wonder, Tinder is rated as the most popular dating app in the U.S.
From our partners:
Tinder is followed by Bumble which just made news when it went public on March 10, raising a total of $2.15 billion – the second-biggest IPO to date this year. Bumble is led by Whitney Wolfe Herd who is also a co-founder of Tinder. She founded Bumble after leaving Tinder due to sexual discrimination and harassment issues.
Other apps that made it on the list are Match, harmony, okcupid, PlentyofFish, Hinge, and Grindr.
With COVID-19 and vaccine rollout is still ongoing, we can expect this trend in online dating to continue.
