Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart had a rare joint outing since calling off their divorce in the midst of his recent ALS diagnosis.
Dane, 52, and Gayheart, 53, enjoyed some time together outside a restaurant in West Hollywood, California, on Thursday, May 1, according to photos obtained by the Daily Mail.
The Euphoria star dressed casually in a black sweater with matching baggy sweatpants, covering his eyes with coordinating sunglasses. Gayheart, for her part, sported a blue striped button-down with a pair of jeans and a navy handbag. She also went incognito with a pair of sunglasses.

Dane and Gayheart got married in 2004, later welcoming daughters Billie, now 15, and Georgia, now 13. After 14 years of marriage, the Jawbreaker actress filed for divorce. She ultimately filed to dismiss her petition seven years later in March.

“We are best of friends. We are really close. We are great coparents,” Gayheart told E! News last month of her relationship with Dane. “We really figured out the formula to staying a family and I think our kids are benefiting greatly from it and we are as well.”
Despite a bumpy road, Gayheart still found her marriage to be “a successful relationship.”
“I think it’s important to not look at a relationship that ends as a failure. It’s just a season. It wasn’t a failure. It was a huge success,” Gayheart added to E! News. “We were married for, I mean, we are still married, but together for 15 years and we had two beautiful kids, so I think that’s a successful relationship, and that’s how we look at it.”

Shortly after calling off their divorce, Dane revealed that he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The condition, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a neurodegenerative disease that often leads to muscle weakness and paralysis.
“I have been diagnosed with ALS,” Dane said in an April statement. “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.”
The Grey’s Anatomy alum also plans to continue acting amid his health battle.
“I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to the set of Euphoria next week,” Dane noted at the time, referring to his role of Cal Jacobs on the acclaimed HBO drama. “I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.”
Gayheart subsequently appeared to address Dane’s diagnosis when she shared an anonymous quote about “the real luxuries in life” to her Instagram Stories.
A list read, “Time, health, a quiet mind, slow mornings, ability to travel, rest without guilt, a good night’s sleep, calm and ‘boring’ days, meaningful conversations, home-cooked meals, people you love, people who love you back.”
