Teddi Mellencamp is embracing her shaved head amid her cancer battle.
Mellencamp, 43, took to Instagram on Monday, April 14, to show off a full face of glam ahead of filming with personal trainer Vanessa Smith. “Wig free filming day,” she captioned the post, joking, “Lots of makeup for the head since one side is a hairless cat.”
In the video, she gave fans a look at her hair, which was thicker on one side than the other. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum got her glam touched up in the clip, donning a dewy base, rosy cheeks and highlighted cheeks and glossy lips.

For her eye makeup, she sported a smokey look with brown shadow blended to her crease and a bronze shimmery shade tapped into her lids. She completed her look with filled-in eyebrows and mascara.

Earlier this month, Mellencamp, who was diagnosed with melanoma in 2022, got candid about losing her hair.
“What a difference 4 months makes,” she wrote alongside a side-by-side photo of her hair. “Sometimes I am so focused on ‘being strong’ that I forget I am allowed to be sad, cry it out, and feel very alone. I love my kids, friends, and family so much and am forever grateful to them but dang today is one of those days.”
Since being diagnosed with melanoma, Mellencamp has kept her followers updated with her health. She revealed earlier this year that the cancer metastasized to her brain and lungs.
In February, she buzzed her hair off before undergoing brain surgery. “I’m gonna have this look on my bucket list,” Mellencamp said as a friend shaved off her strands. “My best look. I hate to break it to my brother but once I’m allowed to wash my hair and it’s not all spiky, I think I’ve taken you for a run for your money, Hud. I’ll see you tomorrow and we’ll see who wore it best.”
Most recently, she told Nightline that her doctors aren’t yet able to give her a clear estimate on her odds as she goes through immunotherapy.
“It’s one of my favorite things to ask is, ‘How long I got? What are my chances?’” she said. “And they often say 50/50. 50/50? I wouldn’t buy a car that’s only gonna drive 50 percent of the time. I don’t want this.”

She explained, “And [the doctor’s] like, ‘No, it’s only because that’s how long immunotherapy has been around, so that’s how long the study has worked.’ So that’s when I then try to find the positive.”
