Jessica Alba and estranged husband Cash Warren have both filed for divorce nearly one month after news of their split broke, Us Weekly can confirm.
According to court docs obtained by Us on Friday, February 7, Alba and Warren are asking the court to determine what is community property, which will have to be divided. The date of separation is listed as December 27, 2024, and they are hoping to keep things as amicable as possible. (TMZ was first to report the news of their subsequent divorce filings and the news of their split on January 8.)
Alba, 43, and Warren, 46, met on the set of 2004’s Fantastic Four and tied the knot four years later. The estranged couple were married for 16 years prior to their separation. Throughout their marriage, the exes welcomed daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13, and son, Hayes, 6. The estranged duo is asking for joint physical and legal custody of their kids, according to the docs.

“I’ve been on a journey of self-realization and transformation for years — both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” she captioned a post on January 16. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”
The actress concluded, writing, “We are moving forward with love, kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority, and we request privacy at this time.”
Last month, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Alba and Warren experienced “many ups and downs” in their marriage. The insider noted that this was not the “first time” they spoke about splitting.

“They have tried therapy and have worked out past issues over the years,” the source shared. “There were trust issues in the past which led to many arguments. At the end of the day, the romance was gone between them.”
Alba and Warren’s three kids are their main priority as they navigate this new normal.
“Jessica and Cash made the decision together that this was no longer working or healthy for anyone,” the same source said. “The kids are their priority right now, and they will be cordial while coparenting. It isn’t messy behind the scenes at all.”
