For The International Day Against Homophobia And Transphobia, LVMH Confirms Its Commitment To The Fight Against LGBTI+ Discrimination And Supports The Awareness-Raising Film Produced By Têtu

As part of the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia on May 17 and ahead of Pride Month celebrations, LVMH is proud to promote a film directed by Benoît Pétré with the support of têtu magazine (the historic publication of the LGBTI+ community in France) to raise awareness on the homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia that members of the LGBTI+ community face every single day.

In a film focusing on four everyday situations, têtu illustrates common LGBTphobia and highlights the discrimination that LGBTI+ people may encounter in their daily lives. With a cast consisting of actors Alexandre Wetter and Isabelle Vitari as well as singers Suzane and Louïz, these educational messages will be broadcast widely on the channels of the France Télévision and Canal+ groups, raising awareness among the general public of the difficult situations faced by members of this community.

The fight against discrimination is embedded in the Group’s policy of promoting a culture of inclusion. At LVMH, we believe that uniqueness is of the utmost importance in enabling all employees to reach their full potential, Chantal Gaemperle, Executive Vice President Human Resources and Synergies at LVMH.

This collaboration with têtu is an extension of our commitment to the fight against inequality and all forms of discrimination, in the workplace or in everyday life. At LVMH, more than a responsibility, it is our desire to ensure a space allowing self-expression for all, as it is this diversity that makes us strong,” Vanessa Moungar, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at LVMH.

Diversity is one of the strengths of LVMH. As a source of creativity and performance, the Group’s approach is based on concrete measures to ensure the well-being of its employees throughout the world. In particular, it has committed to strengthening its inclusive corporate culture by signing the UN Charter against LGBTI+ discrimination in 2019.

ALL LVMH Pride, a network for the LGBTI+ community and its allies whose role has continued to grow and expand, is present in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Asia-Pacific region and France. Making inclusion a lever for transformation and innovation, it allows the Group’s talents to mingle in a space conducive to exchange, so that they may share their life stories and take actions toward a thriving ecosystem for all. Beyond the Group, our employees are personally committed to the fight against discrimination. Similarly, LVMH Maisons have been working in this area for many years with employees from the LGBTI+ community, such as Moët Hennessy with The Bar and Sephora with Prisme.
