Hublot Unveils New Shapes, Materials, Colors And Technical Mastery At Watches & Wonders 2022

Hublot is presenting its latest innovations at this year’s Watches & Wonders show. The Square Bang Unico line offers a stunning take on a new geometry for the Manufacture. The iconic Big Bang remains as visionary as ever, and the collection created with artist Richard Orlinski welcomes new models.

For the first time in its history, Hublot explores the square watch with the new Square Bang Unico collection. The Manufacture has drawn on its extensive expertise to meet this horological challenge. Rather than conceal the round movement, Hublot decided to completely reveal the inner workings. The Unico manufacture movement – the pride and joy of Hublot watch artisans in Nyon – is visible, showing off its remarkable power. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters, another feat Hublot is proud to showcase, since the square shape poses additional challenges. The Square Bang Unico reprises all the design codes of the iconic Big Bang 42 mm, crafted from the same materials as its predecessor – titanium, ceramic, King Gold and an impressive All Black version. Made in a limited edition of just 250 watches, this rare creation embodies distinctive Hublot’s signature in shades of black.

The Big Bang was first released in an integrated bracelet version in 2020. The latest iteration, the Big Bang Integral Ceramic, is integral through its monobloc architecture with the bracelet integrated into the case, its monomaterial ceramic construction, as well as its four monochrome colorways of blue indigo, sky blue, sand beige and jungle green. Each color is available in a limited edition of 250 pieces. Soft to the touch, the ceramic timepiece is scratch-resistant and delightful to wear thanks to low thermal conductivity and its hypoallergenic quality. The 42-mm case is ready for a 72-hour uninterrupted journey tracked by the UNICO V2 manufacture movement.

With the Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Purple Sapphire, Hublot continues to explore new frontiers in the art of sapphire, revealing an exclusive translucent purple, a completely new color in Haute Horlogerie. This world first continues the series of Big Bang watches in a sapphire case, released for the first time in 2016. Worn next to the skin, the automatic 72-hour Tourbillon reveals remarkable refinements like a micro-rotor placed at 12 o’clock, a virtually unprecedented position in watchmaking. The transparent purple rubber strap with lined relief – with the patented One Click express interchangeability system and titanium folding clasp – completes the avant-garde style of this limited edition of 50 pieces.

With the Hublot Loves Art initiative, the Swiss watch manufacture teams with leading contemporary artists. Five years after first collaborating with Richard Orlinski, Hublot has unveiled new versions of the Classic Fusion Orlinski Bracelet. Fitted with a new integrated metallic bracelet, the watches display the angular style emblematic of the French sculptor’s work. Hublot engineers have demonstrated their deep technical expertise in crafting a bracelet whose architecture is beveled and faceted in titanium and composed of 83 parts. The H-shaped links recall the Hublot logo. The 40 mm case in polished titanium encloses a HUB1100 movement, a self-winding calibre with a power reserve of 42 hours. A partially pave set version is adorned with diamonds totaling a weight of 3.79 carats, making the watch a jeweled piece of art.
